RESOURCES AT OUR OFFICE
Many of you may not know that we have a small library of books, pamphlets and videos that are available to you for informative purposes. Come to our office and sign them out and just return them when you are done.

NJ 2-1-1 can help you find solutions to personal/professional needs by informing you of resources in your community like day care facilities, shelters, affordable housing units, social services, employment training programs, senior services, medical insurance, and more. Statewide Parent Advocacy Network SPAN Provides information, advocacy and support assistance for parents. Home to NJ Family Voices for health/insurance concerns and NJ Parent-to-Parent for one-on-one emotional support from another parent.
New Jersey's County Boards of Social Service: Division of Family Development Assists in meeting the basic needs of low-income families through a variety of programs and services.

MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES
Attachment Disorder Network By being removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, all of the children we serve are at risk for developing attachment disorder. Click on above link to read about signs/symptoms and ways to get help for children with attachment disorder.
NAMI New Jersey Statewide mutual support, education and advocacy for families and individuals that deal with mental illness.
PHYSICAL HEALTH RESOURCES
NJ Family Care Provides health insurance for families that do not currently health insurance and meet certain financial criteria
Special Child Health Services Provides county-based system for children (birth - 21) with complex, long-term medical and/or developmental delays or disabilities. Provides free assessment and case management.
Division of Developmental Disabilities Provides respite care and cash stipends, provides additional supports and services when child turns 21.
LEGAL
Legal Services of New Jersey The organization provides assistance with civil legal services for low-income people including, housing, family, consumer, public entitlements, education, employment and health care access. Information is available online or call: 888-222-5765
FOOD
The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties A complete list of food pantries and soup kitchens in Monmouth and Ocean counties can be found online or call 732-918-2600 for assistance.
Community Food Bank of New Jersey The Community Food Bank of New Jersey distributes 39 million pounds of food and groceries a year, ultimately serving 1,500 non-profit programs feeding 900,000 low-income people in 18 of New Jersey’s 21 counties. Call: 908-355-3663.

Famous People with Disabilities Print out a copy for your child (or pick up a copy at our office) and inspire your child by letting them know other famous people who faced diversity and disability but overcame that to do wonderful things.
